Frequently asked questions..

Do you offer consultations?

I will do a consultation at the beginning of each appointment this time is used discuss the procedure, walk you through step-by-step, and to create a pre draw of your new cosmetic tattoo and determine which technique is best suited for you, only after this we will move on to the tattoo portion of the procedure, ensuring you are confident and informed with your treatment.

I do not offer separate consultation appointments

Powder Brows have many names such as Machine Brows, Pixel Brows, Shaded Brows, to name a few, but regardless of what it is called, it is a cosmetic tattoo treatment or Brow PMU (Permanent Makeup) for the enhancement of your brows to create a fuller appearance. Powder Brow treatments can range from very natural to a more intense healed result, depending on your goals and desires. Results can last anywhere from 2-7 years, depending on pigments used, lifestyle, skincare, and upkeep.  I do offer machine strokes as well that replicate the look of hair strokes but only with a combination brow procedure.

How long does it last?

There is a common misconception that PMU is semi permanent. These treatments are permanent, however they do require some maintenance to keep the color fresh. These treatments are placed in the skin not on the skin and will dull and fade over time. It is recommended that you follow your artist recommendations based on the type of treatment you are receiving.

Is PMU safe?

Our pigments are cosmetic grade, they are sterilized and purified for cosmetic use. They contain no metals. The ingredients have been approved by the FDA for cosmetic use. All of our tools are single-use and are discarded after the treatment. All or our equipment is Professional Grade.  I am multi certified, insured and licensed per local laws. We use the best tools, take procuration by not cutting corners on safety and cleanliness.

How many treatments are needed?

Two treatments are usually needed, at least 10-12 weeks apart. Sometimes just one treatment is sufficient, but a touch-up appointment is booked after your initial appointment 8-12 weeks out. If you are happy with your healed results you are more than welcome to cancel that. With most procedures, the color looks dramatically lighter after the first week. Some clients prefer this, while others opt for a bolder look. At the second treatment, we will assess the color retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. If your cosmetic tattoo does not heal perfectly the first time, do not worry! We can always go darker and add more density at your next appointment. Touch ups $95-115 are not included.

Is there any downtime?

There is no downtime, however their will be a healing period of 3-8 day regardless of the treatment that you receive. The color may appear darker for the first 5-7 days and you may see uneven coloration. After care instructions will be given to you at the time of your appointment. Some experience some minor swelling and flaking during 3-5 days of the healing process. Once the area is healed it can still take two months for the color to settle.
